Strong Existing Tourism For Solid Growth & Resale Opportunity

Barrasford and Bird Worldwide are delighted to specialise in properties within the stunning Alagoas region of North East Brazil. Not only does Alagoas have some of the most attractive beaches in the whole Brazil but it has a new International airport and a very strong existing rental market, which ensures maximum resale opportunity when you wish to realise your investment.

Whereas areas such as Natal and Forteleza have specialised in low cost, cheaper tourism and properties, Alagoas has the advantage of being the destination of choice for Brazilians, with stunning beaches, a relaxed atmosphere and sympathetic building control.

Most of the state is planted with coconut trees and sugar cane; offering stunning, rolling green landscapes. The beaches often benefit from coral reefs that create delightful variations in hue cascading through the range of blue, green and turquoise.

The reefs also form natural pools that are popular for snorkelling due to the abundant fauna and flora that can be observed within them.

Alagoas has a tropical climate with the temperature ranging from an average of 21°C in June  to 28°C in January.

The most prominent aspect of the city is the huge swathe of beach and Maceo reflects it's geographical reliance on the ocean within it'd more traditional architecture and the laid back ambience that emanates from its citizens.

Maceo, the state capital, is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city, languishing along a  beach that stretches for over 200km. The city is exceptionally clean, with the beachfront being graced by a wide, tree lined promenade that plays host in the evening to locals and tourists sipping a local delicacy, whilst watching the sun slip over the horizon. The buildings are generally tiled externally, which ensures they look clean and there are numerous restaurants and bars to explore.
Robin Barrasford, the managing Director of Barrasford and Bird Worldwide, recently attended a press conference with the state governor and gave a talk to the assembled members of the Association of developers and real estate agents regarding emerging investment opportunities within the region.
It was during this press conference that the state governor confirmed that 800 million Rael (approximately 200 million pounds) had been set aside by the government to increase infrastructure in the area to increase Maceo's appeal to tourists.

The first project developed from these funds is the whole new district being developed on the outskirts of Maceo to increase city tourism.
